The year 2018 has been amazing and hella confusing one when we talk about the fashion scene. We have seen the fun, quirky and downright bizarre fashion trends the past year. As we are forever hoping that every new brings out the best version of ourselves, I though I would give you a heads up on how to style yourself when the realization hits you: it is the same old you with the same old resolution. it is fine though, at least you are are going to look bomb and that is the one department you want to rule over anyways. Adulting. Who?
Here is my annual fashion forecast. I have a few trends which I KNOW we are going to see more than the money in our bank accounts in the year 2019!
Dresses With Pants
The dress with pants is a cousin of the pant suit trend. Dresses worn with pants is new hot thing in the year 2019. A bunch of Pakistani designers are experimenting with this look, featuring a zari cord along with angarkha dresses and silk pants. this style has also been picked up for several different editorial shoots as well, and as fashion bloggers are obsessed with the look, you might just want one in your wardrobe for the year.
Let’s just be really honest, do animal prints even go out of fashion?
The designers over at Altuzarra and Hardware London decided to put the cool stamp on animal prints, though we’re waiting for the versions a little closer to home.
Living Coral is going to be the ‘IT’ color of the season. The color has also been declared as Pantone’s Colour Of The Year for 2019, and I cannot wait to see the renditions that are def going to come my way.
Stella McCartney along with Prabal Gurung are experimenting with tie and dye in unique fun ways. The technique has always been an easy one, but the way is has been mish-mashed with delicate fabrics such as Organza has taken the game a whole notch up. Try it on Chiffon for an even more regal look!
We have all been there and done that when it comes to pleats, however the new kid on the block which everyone will be talking about in 2019 is the tight pleats. With international OG’s for instance Balmain and Givenchy incorporating tight pleats into their designs, I am so hoping that this trend trickles down to fast fashion so I could get my hands on the latest pleated gorgeousness in town.
Sequins are in the trending just like any other year. With designers and brands such as Naeem Khan, Gucci, and Halpern doing sparkle in ways we want to be blessed with, we can rest assured that we are definitely going to have a glowing year ahead with sequins.
